Groton Utilities is once again excited to be sponsoring the Fort Griswold Celebration on the Thames, the Town of Groton’s fireworks viewing event. Mayor Keith Hedrick, Director of Utilities Ron Gaudet and Manager of Communications and Community Outreach Dan Bouges presented the Town of Groton Parks and Recreation Director Mark Berry with a check for $10,000 to cover the costs of the celebration. We consider this to be a vital event for the area and are happy to keep it going so that family and friends can celebrate together year after year.
The event takes place on Saturday, July 13th at Fort Griswold in the City of Groton up at Fort Griswold. It’s a night of live music, food vendors and of course the amazing fireworks display over the Thames River. The event starts at 6:00 p.m. and goes until the fireworks start (approximately 9:20 p.m.).
