WASHINGTON PARK – PRESS BOX

BID PROPOSAL 07-14-20

The City of Groton will receive proposals at the Office of the Purchasing Agent, 295 Meridian Street, Groton, Connecticut 06340, until 2:00 P.M. on July 27, 2020. Due to the current pandemic the bids will not be publicly opened.

There will be an optional Pre-Bid meeting, July 20, 2020 at 11:00AM.

The City is requesting proposals for the demolition, removal and construction of a new Softball Field Press Box (field is closest to the Corner of Meridian St and Mitchel St), located at Washington Park, 155 Meridian Street, Groton, Connecticut.

DescriptionThe City is requesting proposals for the demolition, removal and construction of a new Softball Field Press Box (field is closest to the Corner of Meridian St and Mitchel St), located at Washington Park, 155 Meridian Street, Groton, Connecticut.

The project will included materials and labor for the following renovations:

Demolition and removal of existing press box and construction of a new press box.

The City has an engineered site plan and drawings for the new press box. These drawings are included with this RFP.

The detailed specifications for the construction of the new press box are located in the drawings.

The City of Groton may chose the most advantageous contractor and negotiate changes to the proposal with the submitting group.

Project Schedule:

Bid posting: July 14, 2020
Optional Pre-Bid meeting: July 20, 2020 at 11:00AM
Bid Closing, July 27, 2020: 2:00PM
Bid Award: August 4, 2020
Project Start Date: Mid-August
Project Completion Date: Mid-September

The proposals will be evaluated based upon among other factors:
•Quality of materials
•Initial cost
•Expected longevity
•Expected completion date
•Comprehensiveness of the proposal
